Netizens across northern Luzon took to social media to share their stories on how Typhoon Neneng (international name: Nesat) devastated their local communities.

MANILA, Philippines – Netizens across northern Luzon took to social media to share their stories on how Typhoon Neneng (international name: Nesat) devastated their local communities.

Netizen Alain Garret dela Cruz Badiang on Sunday shared an aerial shot of the widespread floods in Claveria, Cagayan caused by Neneng.

In Ilocos Norte, social media user Nikka Suil captured the growing water levels in Madongan Dam caused by Neneng. She said that the dam’s water has destroyed nearby bamboo huts, which were made from lightweight materials.

Meanwhile, Neneng also caused floods in a residential area in Barangay Filomena in Calanasan, Apayao. Netizen Gemson Ogot Abara captured the rushing flood waters in the barangay.

According to the latest National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council report, 103,662 individuals were affected by Neneng, with 1,865 still residing in evacuation centers across northern Luzon.
