Weekly COVID-19 positivity rate in Zambales rises anew
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The province saw an increase in the weekly COVID-19 positivity rate as local health authorities continued to register a growing number of daily infections, data showed Tuesday, Oct. 18.
The Octa Research said the province’s COVID-19 positivity rate rose from 20.4 percent on Oct. 8 to 22 percent on Oct. 15.
It was the third consecutive week that the province’s virus positivity rate went up.
OCTA said the positivity rate is the percentage of tests that turn out positive.
Zambales remained on the list of provinces with a high COVID-19 positivity rate. In Central Luzon, it joins Bataan and Tarlac as provinces with an increasing rate.
