NDRRMC: Maymay displaces over 43,000 in Cagayan Valley, CAR

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Maymay has displaced 43,721 individuals after it devastated parts of northern  Luzon last week, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC).

Based on its latest situational report, NDDRMC said majority of the affected individuals (41,918) are from Cagayan Valley, while the rest are from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

 The death toll remained at one.

Fifty-four areas are also still flooded while 10 roads and two bridges remain impassable.

The NDRRMC added that it has already distributed P4,936,732.53 worth of family food packs to 8,412 affected residents in Cagayan Valley and CAR.
