MANILA, Philippines — An overseas welfare helpdesk will be opened in Muntinlupa following a memorandum of agreement between the city and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on Oct. 13.
The agreement was signed by Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon and Owwa Administrator Arnaldo “Arnell” Ignacio.
The OWWA helpdesk, in coordination with the city’s Public Employment Services Office, will provide easier access to OWWA services, including training, health care, and overall welfare promotions and integration.
Fifteen migrant workers each received a financial assistance of P20,000 during the signing event.
