Ex-rebel in Zambales yields to Olongapo cops

OLONGAPO CITY–A former communist rebel in Zambales province surrendered to authorities here, police said Wednesday, Oct. 12.
According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), “Ka Andong” turned himself in and surrendered his .38-caliber revolver on Monday.
Ka Andong used to be a member of Milisyang Bayan- Yunit Paniktik of Komiteng Larangan Gerilya, which operates in the provinces of Tarlac and Zambales.
Two other former rebels and an active member of a communist group in the provinces of Aurora and Nueva Ecija also surrendered to the government on the same day, the PRO3 said. INQ
