PH logs 1,554 new COVID-19 infections, 25,004 active cases
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) reported an additional 1,554 COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, with active infections dropping to 25,004.
This brought the total COVID-19 caseload to 3,971,455, with 3,883,112 recoveries and 63,329 deaths, as shown on the DOH’s COVID-19 Tracker.
These new cases are lower than the 2,048 recorded daily average infections from Oct. 3 to 9, as well as the 2,106 infections recorded on Monday.
Metro Manila continues to lead the list of regions with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the last two weeks with 11,347, followed by Calabarzon with 5,307 and Central Luzon with 2,712.
Among individual areas, Quezon City continues to lead with 2,825 infections, followed by Cavite with 1,883 and Rizal with 1,538.
