PNR’s Calamba-Lucena route back on track
MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Railways (PNR) has reopened its Calamba – Lucena line over the weekend.
According to the PNR’s Facebook post on Friday, the reopening would shorten travel time to and from the cities of Lucena in Quezon, San Pablo and Calamba in Laguna.

Estimated travel time from Lucena City to the City of Calamba is two hours and and 33 minutes while travel time from Lucena City to San Pablo City would be one hour and 32 minutes.
“The morning trip from Lucena station leaves at 4:50 a.m., , while the last trip from Calamba is at 6:30 p.m.,” PNR said in its post.
Article continues after this advertisement“The minimum fare from Lucena to San Pablo is priced at PHP 15, while the minimum fare from Lucena to Calamba is priced at PHP 20.” PNR added.

There will also be nine flag makeshift stops Pansol, Masili, Los Banos, College, IRRI, Tiaong (Lalig), Candelaria, Lutucan, and Sariaya.
“Magiging mas mabilis at mas komportable ang biyahe ng mga pasahero na galing sa mga probinsya ng Laguna at ng Quezon,” said Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista.
(Travel will now be faster and more comfortable for passengers from the Laguna and Quezon provinces).
