MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs detected the earthquake at 1:13 a.m. and located its epicenter 161 kilometers southeast of Balut Island, Municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.

The tectonic earthquake’s depth of focus was 160 kilometers.
Phivolcs reported no intensities and no aftershocks and damages are expected.
