UPDATED LUCENA CITY — Four drug suspects were arrested and more than P400,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) were confiscated in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite and Laguna provinces on Monday, October 3, police said.

The Cavite police, in a report Tuesday, October 4, said that anti-narcotics operatives in Alfonso town nabbed Nakon Guiamlo and Baby Guiabal at around 5 p.m. after they allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Buck State. Authorities seized a plastic sachet of meth weighing 50 grams. The police tagged the suspects as alleged members of a drug syndicate operating in Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), and Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) regions. Meanwhile, Police in Calamba City, Laguna also busted Roberto Flogera Jr. and Dennis Matanguihan in Barangay Parian at around 8:35 p.m. The suspects yielded three sachets of meth with a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P71,400.

All suspects were detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
