MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Monday issued a show cause order against the truck driver involved in a multiple car crash along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City last week.

The Intelligence and Investigation Division of the LTO has ordered the truck driver to appear before them and explain why administrative charges should not be filed against him and why his driver’s license should not be revoked.

The driver, who remains unnamed, is facing charges after he lost control of his truck while driving along the Katipunan flyover in Quezon City last Sept. 27.

The incident involved several vehicles, injured some people, and snarled traffic for several hours.

The LTO is eyeing charges of reckless driving as well as driving under the influence of dangerous drugs against the truck driver.
