Weekly police operations yield P1.1 million worth of illegal drugs in Olongapo City

In Olongapo City, police conducted different anti-criminality operations which led to the confiscation of P1.1 million worth of illegal drugs.

OLONGAPO CITY —  At least P1.1 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated here in various operations last week, authorities said Monday.

According to the Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), 13 drug suspects were also arrested in seven separate anti-narcotics operations in the city from September 25 to October 1.

The biggest haul was on September 27 after law enforcers seized P1 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) from three drug suspects.

At least 10 most wanted persons in the city and five alleged illegal gamblers were also arrested during the same period, the OCPO said. INQ
