Suspect yields P43K worth of meth in Olongapo City

OLONGAPO CITY — A suspected drug trader in this province was arrested during an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay Gordon Heights here, police said Sunday, Aug. 28.

The suspect, who was only identified as alias “Banong,” was caught with P43,000 worth of “shabu” after an undercover agent managed to buy the illegal drugs from him during a buy-bust operation along the Water Dam Road Street at 7:20 p.m. on Aug. 27.

Police tagged the suspect as one of the notorious illegal drug peddlers operating in the city.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of the Olongapo City Police Drug Enforcement Unit. He will be charged with violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
