Over 46,000 still displaced due to Typhoon Karding — NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — Over 46,000 people in Luzon remain displaced due to Typhoon Karding, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Sunday.

In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said a total of 46,452 people are still displaced — 3.098 in 26 evacuation centers and 43,354 in other locations.

The death toll stands at 12 deaths, with 52 individuals injured and five others missing.

NDRRMC also pegged the agricultural loss and damage at P3.076 billion, while the estimated damage to infrastructure is at P304,245,310.

Karding left the Philippine area of responsibility on Monday night, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, after battering parts of Luzon.
