MANILA, Philippines – The city government of Pasig launched the Home Reading Library Program in the Tanghalang Rizal, Rizal High School on Friday.

According to the Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO), the program aims to promote and enhance the reading skills of the students of Pasig.

With over 722,000 story books, the program allows kindergarteners 1 to grade 3 in Pasig to read and borrow storybooks.

The program will promote and develop children’s “love for reading” which will serve as a foundation for their learning, the Pasig PIO said.

The local government established the Home Reading Library Program in partnership with the Pasig’s Schools Division office. —Alyssa Joy Quevedo, INQUIRER.net trainee
