ORMOC CITY — An Iranian national has been found dead 10 feet below the ocean’s surface at the Waterpark Beach Resort in Barangay Buenos Aires in Victoria town, Northern Samar.
Hossieni Seyedakbar, who was identified through his passport, was found by a fisherman on Wednesday, September 28.
Officers of the Philippine Coast Guard-Northern Samar, who arrived first in the area, said they received a report from Fatima Al Najjar, manager of the Waterpark Resort, regarding the discovery of Seyedakbar’s body.
SN1 Mark Casia said the victim was found wearing a backpack filled with stones tied with a rope in his body.
According to resort employees, the victim arrived last week and checked out last Monday, September 26. They were wondering why he was found dead inside the resort’s premises when he already checked out last Monday.
The local police are conducting an investigation to find out the circumstances leading to Seyedakbar’s death.
