Soldier found dead on Northern Samar beach
TACLOBAN CITY – A soldier was found dead on a beach in Catarman, Northern Samar on Saturday morning.
Senior Sgt. Reland Bermejo, 42, was identified by his colleagues at around 10:10 a.m., a report from the regional headquarters of the Philippine National Police based in Palo town, Leyte said.
Based on the investigation, Bermejo had his morning swim at around 7 a.m. at the beach near the 803rd Infantry Brigade headquarters.
This was the last time he was seen alive.
Police are conducting an investigation to determine what caused the death of the soldier who was a native of San Miguel in Bulacan.
