FRANCISCO “Django” Bustamante clustered four straight racks to beat Taiwanese Yang Ching-shun, 9-3, in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face-Off Series late Saturday at the Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.
The win was worth $5,000 for Bustamante while Yang settled for $2,500 in the winner’s break format tournament dubbed Philippines versus Asia.
The win allowed Team Philippines to tie the series at 3-3 against Team Asia. The series resumes with a match pitting Chang Yu Long of Chinese-Taipei against Ronato “Volcano” Alcano on March 31. /Correspondent Marlon Bernardino
