3 drug suspects nabbed in Naga City

LEGAZPI CITY — Three drug personalities were arrested in buy-bust operations on Tuesday and Wednesday in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Miriam Austria, 40, and Lea Agapito, 39, were arrested at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Barangay Peñafrancia.

The suspects yielded two grams of shabu (crystal meth) worth P13,600.

In Barangay Pacol, Rolly Abadesa, 44, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police recovered seven sachets of shabu worth P4,760 and P500 buy-bust money.

The suspects face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Barangay Del Rosario, on Tuesday found sachets of shabu, marijuana, and cigarettes wrapped inside a crumpled duct tape and placed under the seat of their mobile car.

They found 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000, three grams of suspected marijuana worth P360, two plastic sachets containing cigarettes, and a sachet with folded aluminum foil.

Bongon said the jail officer saw the duct tape upon returning to BJMP after attending a hearing with a person deprived of liberty at the Hall of Justice in the city.

Further investigation is ongoing.
