‘Tanawan,’ newest hangout in Subic, seen to boost tourism
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — A new tourist spot called ‘Tanawan sa Subic Bay’ was formally opened Tuesday in this freeport as part of the celebration of tourism week.
Rolen Paulino, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chair and administrator, said the viewing deck is part of the corporate social responsibility of All Hands Beach Resort, one of the locators in this freeport.
All Hands Beach developed the area to allow tourists and residents in nearby communities to relax and take pictures while enjoying the view of Subic Bay along San Bernardino Road.
SBMA is celebrating this year’s National Tourism Week with in-person activities after two years of restrictions on gatherings due to the pandemic.
The Department of Tourism recently hailed the freeport as the top tourist destination in Central Luzon and the fifth most visited area in the country. INQ
