3 Marines wounded in Lanao del Sur ambush

COTABATO CITY – Three Philippine Marine troopers were wounded after clashing with an unidentified armed group in Picong, Lanao del Sur on Sunday night.
A team of soldiers on board a military truck was patrolling in Barangay Punong when they were attacked at arounf 6 p.m., according to Lt. Col. Serge Ronquillo, commander of the 2nd Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT-2).
“Pursuit operation is going on,” Ronquillo said in a radio interview.
Injured were Privates First Class Stephen Saragal and Elijah Taccas, and Private Romy Torallo Jr.
They sustained injuries on their feet and legs.
