MANILA, Philippines – Magat Dam in Isabela released water on Saturday noon in preparation for rain that will be dumped by Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Karding, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Pagasa’s Hydro-Meteorology Division said Magat Dam opened one gate at 12 p.m. and discharged 200 cubic meters of water per second (cms).
