LUCENA CITY – Police confiscated shabu (crystal meth) and firearms from three drug suspects who were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Laguna province on Friday, Sept. 23, reports said.
Police Colonel Randy Glenn Silvio, Laguna police officer-in-charge, reported Saturday that Calamba City anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Francisco Canceran, 42, and Dennis Elec, 41, after they allegedly sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) 5 at around 10:14 p.m.
Seized from the suspects were five sachets of shabu worth P13,600.
Police also reportedly recovered from Canceran an undocumented caliber .45 pistol loaded with five bullets.
Earlier, police in Biñan City nabbed Ronnel Mijares in a sting operation in Barangay San Jose around 9:42 p.m.
The suspect yielded three sachets of meth. The report did not specify the volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs.
Mijares was also found in possession of a loaded caliber .45 pistol without a valid government permit.
The suspects were placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Canceran and Mijares will also be slapped with another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
