Suspended classes due to Tropical Storm Karding

MANILA, Philippines – Classes in several public and private schools were suspended on Friday due to the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm Karding.


All levels
Municipality of Naval, Biliran

Preschool to Senior High School
Municipality of Montalban, Rizal


According to the advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday morning, Karding is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain showers and thunderstorms in some parts of the country.

Pagasa said that Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 may be raised as early as Friday night.

Based on Pagasa’s forecast, Karding will moderately accelerate and make landfall on the east coast of northern Luzon on Sunday morning. – Alyssa Joy Quevedo, trainee
