MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) announced on Thursday that Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) operators may now request a new Fare Matrix/Guide following the implementation of the fare increase effective October 3.

The LTFRB previously announced the fare increase in Traditional Public Utility Jeepney (TPUJ), Modern PUJ (MPUJ), Public Utility Bus (PUB), Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS), and Taxi on September 16, 2022.

Included as a condition before the implementation of the fare is the posting of updated fare guides inside PUVs.

Operators who then wish to acquire their copies of the fare matrix are then required to subit the following documents:

1.) Latest Land Transportation Office (LTO) OR/CR
2.) Franchise Verification
3.) Copy of the Provisional Authority (for those who have not yet been given a decision on their Certificate of Public Convenience)
4.) Official Receipt of Payment

The LTFRB office said it is open to receive Fare Matrix/Guide requests from Monday to Saturday.

Meanwhile, the LTFRB reminded PUV drivers that they are not allowed to increase charges before Oct. 3
