LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — One lane of the landslide-struck Manila North Road in Pagudpud town in this province was opened to light vehicles on Thursday, Sept. 22, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
In an announcement, the regional office of the DPWH said it had deployed a team to the area to assist motorists as it advised them to take “extra precaution” while traversing the road.
It said only light vehicles could pass through the highway in Pancian village from 6 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In the last two weeks, landslide debris completely blocked a portion of the Manila North Road, the gateway to most parts of the Cagayan Valley. INQ
