Fire displaces 29 families in Baybay City

ORMOC CITY — At least 29 families were displaced in a fire that hit a portion of Barangays Zone 8 and Sto. Rosario in Baybay City, Leyte at 3:25 p.m. on Tuesday.

No injuries were reported, according to SFO1 Emmanuel Calagos.

Fire investigators have yet to identify the cause of the fire.

Damage was pegged at P435,000.

Calagos said the fire was controlled at 3:55 p.m. and was put out at 4:28 p.m.

A total of 27 houses were burned in Barangay Zone 8, while two houses were destroyed in Barangay Sto. Rosario.
