Manila traffic advisory for Lenten procession

The Manila Police District has issued a traffic advisory in view of a Lenten procession being held today, Sunday.

Starting 11 a.m., a portion of the southbound lane of Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo, from Andalucia and Fugoso streets to Plaza Miranda, will be closed to traffic.

Also being closed is a portion of España stretching from P. Campa to Lerma streets in Sampaloc.

All vehicles coming from Quezon City, usually those passing via España, are advised to make a right on P. Campa, then left on Andalucia, right at Fugoso, and again left on T. Mapua Street to get to their destination.

Public utility jeepneys and light vehicles taking España and heading for the South Pier zone are advised to make a left on Nicanor Reyes, turn right on Recto Avenue, take Jose Abad Santos Avenue, make a left on Reina Regente Street, go straight to Jones Bridge, and turn right on Magallanes drive.

PUJs plying the Monumento-Gasak-Recto route and heading for Andalucia to Recto are advised to make a right on Fugoso and a right on Oroqueta.

Vehicles coming from Legarda are advised to turn right toward Recto or left toward Mendiola. Jaymee T. Gamil
