MANILA, Philippines — A cluster of clouds bringing light to heavy rain located east of Luzon may form into a low pressure area (LPA) on Tuesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“May mga kumpulang kaulapan sa loob ng PAR (Philippine area of Responsibility), na nagdadala ng mahina, katamtaman, hanggang sa malakas na pag-ulan,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio in a weather forecast.
(There are cloud clusters within the PAR, bringing light, moderate, to heavy rains.)
“Posible pong may mabuo na low pressure area doon (it is possible that a low pressure area will form there),” he added.
Meanwhile, rain due to the southwest monsoon, locally known as the habagat, is forecast to continue over Central Luzon and Southern Luzon, specifically, Bataan, Zambales, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Metro Manila.
“Samantala ang nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon ay inaasahan ang maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban sa mga isolated na pagulan dulot ng thunderstorms,” said Aurelio.
(Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon will have good and clear weather except for isolated rains caused by thunderstorms.)
Fair weather and clear skies are likewise forecast over Visayas and Mindanao, with chances of rain due to localized thunderstorms.
