LUCENA CITY — Police arrested 10 alleged drug pushers and seized more than P178,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana in buy-bust operations on Thursday (September 15) and Friday (September 16) in Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal provinces.

Police in Calabarzon reported that anti-illegal drug operatives nabbed Victor Managbanag and Joey de Guzman at Barangay Zapote 5 in Bacoor City around 2:10 a.m. Friday.

Authorities seized 10 plastic sachets of meth with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P34,000.

In San Mateo, Rizal, members of the police drug enforcement unit busted Roberto Manansala, Jomar Canasa, Ryan Santos, and Jesril Verano in a sting operation in Barangay Maly around 2:05 a.m. Friday.

The group yielded a total of eight sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P26,910.

Meanwhile, police officers in Biñan City, Laguna collared Myco Garcia and Ronald Anonuevo in Barangay Mamplasan around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Seized from the suspects were dried marijuana leaves, or “weeds,” weighing 500 grams worth P50,000 as per DDB valuation.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Anti-narcotics agents in General Trias City, Cavite, arrested Thomas Vepinoza and Jayson Casia after they allegedly sold shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Francisco at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday.

The duo was found in possession of three sachets of shabu with a DDB value of P68,000.

All suspects were already in police custody and will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
