7 drug suspects fall in southern Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — Cops busted P112,200 worth of suspected “shabu” and arrested seven drug suspects in a string of buy-bust operations around southern Metro Manila this week. The Makati police nabbed citizen’s watch volunteer Ralph Waquez and tricycle driver Jose Poblacion at Barangay Tejeros in Makati City on Sept. 13. On Sept. 14, Pasay authorities arrested Angelo Tayoto and Pio Velarde at Barangay 46. The following day, Pasay police collared Jaime Deriada at Barangay 61. Also on Sept. 15, Muntinlupa police arrested Joseph Ibanez at Barangay Tunasan, followed by the arrest of Reynaldo Sta. Romana at Barangay Bayanan. —ANGEL YABUT
