Witnesses immediately brought the officer to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead.

The officer was survived by his wife, Alice Binalangbang, a former three-termer councilor of Montevista, another town in the province.

Col. Benedicto L. Faco, officer in charge of the provincial police office, has mobilized all units in his area to run after the killers.

Faco also urged witnesses and anyone who might have some knowledge about the possible motive of the killing to cooperate in the investigation.
