MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather will prevail over the entire country on Wednesday, but isolated rain brought by thunderstorms remains likely, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(In Manila and the rest of Luzon, we will continue to expect clear weather, especially in the morning to noon, with a high chance of rain brought by localized thunderstorms.)

She added that Visayas and Mindanao would likewise experience fair conditions and a high chance of rain in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the tropical depression currently being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) is currently located 1,785 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 50 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 70 kph.

(It is in the northeastern boundary of our area of responsibility, so we don’t expect it to hit any part of our land.)

(But we will continue to monitor it because it is possible to cause rain in the next few days and enhance the southwest monsoon that will bring rain in Southern Luzon and Visayas area.)
