VP Duterte wishes Bongbong Marcos ‘strength, wisdom’ on his 65th birthday

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday wished President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. “strength and wisdom for the difficult road ahead,” as he celebrated his 65th birthday.

Duterte shared her birthday greetings through a Facebook post and an “obligatory birthday selfie” with the President.

She thanked Marcos Jr. and his 250th Presidential Airlift Wing for ensuring she is home every night “in time to tuck my children to bed.”

“Thank you for putting a premium on the desire of a working mother to be present in her children’s lives,” said Duterte.

Marcos Jr. earlier celebrated his 65th birthday by kickstarting a nationwide tree planting event in San Mateo, Rizal, to stress the need to take care of the environment for the sake of future generations.
