Inday exits PAR; fair weather to prevail over PH
MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected to prevail over most of the country after Typhoon Inday (international name: Muifa) left the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Typhoon Inday is now 550 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 170 kilometers per hour.
“Kasalukuyan po ay wala pong habagat, so inaasahan po natin na magiging maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon sa bansa,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldcazar D. Aurelio during the bureau’s public weather forecast.
(At present, there is no prevailing southwest monsoon, so we are expecting clear and fair weather for our country).
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, however, may still experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers in the afternoon and evening, due to localized thunderstorms or Typhoon Inday’s trough, according to Pagasa’s latest advisory.
