COTABATO CITY — Seven persons, including a minor, were injured Sunday night in a grenade blast inside a restaurant along Notre Dame Avenue, Barangay Rosary Heights 2 in this city, police said.
The victims, customers of “Park and Dine Restobar,” were taking their dinner at past 9 p.m. on Sunday when the blast occurred, according to Police Captain Kenneth Rosales, Police Station 1 chief.
“We are still determining the motive, we are reviewing the CCTV, but initially, it was a quarrel among the restobar clients,” Rosales said.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but police found fragments of an MK2 hand grenade, including its safety lever and fuse at the crime scene.
