Adgers crush Forum in CYBL 19-Under hoop

THE Adgers Sportsmasters routed Forum, 89-53, last Saturday for its 2nd win in three outings, while the latter remains winless in the CYBL-2012 19-Under basketball tournament at the Sacred Heart School covered courts in Gen. Maxilom Ave., Cebu City.

The Sportsmasters set the tone of the rout after jumping to a, 26-6 lead in the opening period behind the early assault of Alex Nazareno and Allan Dimco.

Forum responded with a 17-15 run in the 2nd canto to cut down its deficit to 23-41 at the half which proved to be its last stand as Adgers padded its advantage to a commanding 28 points, 67-39, entering the final 10 minutes of the contest.

Adgers widened its lead with a, 22-14 run in the fourth led by diminutive 3-point artist Jonher Espina.

The 89-53 final count is by far the most lopsided score in the ongoing tourney.

Allan Dimco topscored with 15 points for Adgers while Jonher Espina added 14 markers spiked with four trifectas.

Dong Corcilles paced Forum with 21 points, while Meca and Sullano had 13 and 12 markers, respectively. /Correspondent Dale Rosal
