OLONGAPO CITY–Eight people were arrested in this city during the local police’s “one-time-big-time” operations on Tuesday (Aug. 30), police said.
According to Col. Carlito Grijaldo, acting police city director, the arrested felons were among the most wanted persons in the city.
In a report, Grijaldo said these people were facing charges that included rape, malversation, qualified theft, recleck imprudence resulting in physical injury and car theft.
The eight were among the 42 wanted persons that were arrested in the entire Central Luzon during the 24-hour manhunt operation.
According to Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, acting director of Police Regional Office 3, the other arrested persons in the region have standing warrants for murder, robbery with extortion, illegal gambling, and illegal drugs. INQ
