Revilla undergoes procedure for ureteral stones

MANILA, Philippines — Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. underwent a procedure for ureteral stones on Wednesday afternoon.

According to his office, Revilla was transported to St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City in Taguig at 5 a.m. due to “unbearable abdominal pain.”

“After tests, it was determined that Senator Revilla was suffering from Ureteral stones that caused his pain and nausea,” his office stated in a medical bulletin.

Currently, Revilla is in recovery after getting treatment at 2:30 p.m.

Despite the procedure, Revilla attended the plenary session virtually.

His colleagues extended their well wishes and prayers to Revilla.

“We wish our distinguished colleague Senator Bong Revilla well and a speedy recovery. He’s in the hospital today,” Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri said during the session.

Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva, meanwhile, said: “Our sincerest concern and prayers for our dear colleague Senator Bong Revilla… We know what he is going through and we are all in agreement for his fast recovery.”
