Manila Water releases desludging schedule for the month of September

Manila Water will have scheduled desludging services for the month of September, and 46 barangays from the East Zone of Metro Manila and 4 barangays in Rizal Province can avail of the said desludging service at no additional cost.

Manila Water has encouraged its customers to take advantage of the scheduled desludging services provided by the company and have their septic tanks siphoned and cleaned with no additional fees.

For the month of September, Manila Water’s desludging team will be present in the following barangays in the East Zone of Metro Manila:

In Rizal Province, desludging services will be available in Barangay San Isidro, Dalig and Dela Paz in Antipolo City, and Barangay Darangan in Binangonan.

Manila Water Corporate Communication Affairs Group Head Jeric Sevilla Jr. stressed the importance of desludging services as they benefit the environment and the community.

“With regular septic tank desludging and maintenance every five to seven years, we help not just the environment but also the community. Whenever you have your septic tanks cleaned, all the wastewater collected from the septic vaults will undergo proper treatment before making its way to creeks, rivers, and other waterways, thus reducing pollution. At the same time, you help the community by preventing the spread of waterborne from overflowing septic tanks,” said Sevilla.

To avail of the siphoning service, residents of the said barangays can coordinate with their barangay officials or call the Manila Water Consumer Desk Hotline 1627 to verify the exact schedule.
