SSS online apps down after fire hits QC office
MANILA, Philippines — After a fire hit its main office, the Social Security System (SSS) advised members and pensioners on Monday that its digital channels would be down temporarily.
“The SSS’s servers are undergoing testing in preparation for the continuation of operations through its business recovery center as operations in its main data center have been affected by the fire that occurred at the UPS room located on the ground floor of its main office building in Quezon City on Aug. 28,” the state-run pension fund for private-sector workers and retirees said in a statement.
It added that its website (www.sss.gov.ph), mobile app, as well as the “uSSSap Tayo” portal would also be unavailable in the meantime.
“SSS stakeholders are assured that all member data records were not affected by the incident. The SSS asks for their patience and understanding while all efforts are being made to restore the availability of its online services as soon as possible,” it said.
The SSS advised those with urgent queries and concerns to send messages to its SSS official email accounts: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected].
