LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — Police on Sunday said they had filed two counts of murder against a suspect arrested in connection with the August 26 killing of two residents, including a 6-year-old boy, in Pagudpud town in this province.
The suspect was arrested by the police on August 27 after a dragnet operation. His companion remained at large.
Assailants on a motorcycle shot to death at around 7 p.m. Lea Balolong, 39, and her nephew, John Kurt Daguro, while they were walking on a roadside to go to a store in Pagudpud’s Subec village.
The police did not reveal other information about the suspects
Earlier, the police said the shooting could be a “crime of passion.” INQ
