Metro Manila logs 782 COVID-19 cases on Sunday — OCTA
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila recorded the most number of new COVID-19 infections among regions and provinces on Sunday, independent pandemic monitor OCTA Research Group said.
In a Twitter post on Monday, OCTA fellow Guido David said the National Capital Region logged 782 new COVID-19 cases, which dwarfed Cavite’s 121 new cases.

Bulacan rankled third with 103 new cases followed by Rizal with 102 cases and Laguna with 82 cases.
The number of new cases in Metro Manila, however, is 82 less than the 865 infections recorded on August 27, Saturday.
Article continues after this advertisementOn Sunday, David said the weekly average of COVID-19 cases nationwide decreased by 15% while the national positivity rate also declined.
