3 drug suspects busted in Antipolo City; P496K shabu, guns seized

LUCENA CITY – Three alleged drug pushers were arrested in Antipolo City while in possession of over P496,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) on Friday, August 26.

Police Brigadier General Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., chief of Police Regional Office 4A, in a report on Saturday said anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Richelle Ramos after he allegedly sold P500 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay (village) San Roque at around 6:51 p.m.

Authorities seized four plastic sachets of meth weighing 50 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P340,000.

Police also reportedly recovered an illegal caliber .38 gun loaded with five bullets.


Two hours later, policemen also collared Gary Raro in another sting operation in the same village.

The suspect yielded seven plastic sachets of meth weighing 20 grams with a DDB value of P136,000.

At around 11:30 p.m. in Barangay San Isidro, cops also busted Russel Rozul who yielded shabu with a DDB value of P20,400. The suspect was also carrying an undocumented caliber .38 gun loaded with two bullets.

The suspects were placed under police custody and would face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Ramos and Rozul will both face another case for illegal possession of firearms.
