Specifically, works will be made on 14 road sections located in the cities of Quezon, Makati, and Pasig, the agency’s National Capital Region office said.

It also said these road sections will be closed from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, until to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30.

The affected roads sections are the following:

EDSA Northbound Lane

EDSA Southbound Lane

C-5 Road

Other roads

Motorists are urged to plan their trips ahead and take alternate routes.

“Motorists are advised that roadworks of the Department of Public Works and Highways will cause significant delays for long weekend travelers particularly in the cities of Quezon, Makati, and Pasig,” the DPWH said in a statement also posted on their social media pages.

“Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes while repairs are underway. All affected roads will reopen on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 5 a.m.,” it added.
