Bongbong Marcos: Revitalization of MSMEs among admin’s top priorities
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. stressed Friday that revitalizing the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector is among his administration’s top priorities.
Marcos made the remark as he attended the opening of the MSME Summit 2022 at the Manila Hotel organized by Go Negosyo.
“As your President, I assure you that the revitalization of our MSMEs is among the administration’s top priorities,” Marcos said in his speech.
“I reiterate the government’s full commitment to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to make certain that MSMEs are protected and provided with ample opportunities not only to recovery from these extraordinary times but to grow and thrive in this modern age,” the President added.
Marcos said MSMEs are part of the “backbone of our economy” as the sector generates more than half of the country’s employment.
