4 drug suspects fall in Cavite, Rizal busts

Cavite drug bust: 4 suspects nabbed, at least P2-million ‘shabu’ seized

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested four alleged illegal drug peddlers and seized P684,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and marijuana in buy-bust operations on Thursday and Friday (August 25 and 26) in Cavite and Rizal provinces.

Calabarzon police reported that anti-illegal drug operatives in Dasmariñas City, Cavite nabbed Jim Axel Bucal after he sold marijuana to an undercover police officer in a transaction at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in Barangay Paliparan 3.

Bucal’s companion, Mark Robert Dumala, escaped.

The authorities reportedly found in Bucal’s possession four bricks of “weeds” weighing four kilos with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P480,000.

In San Mateo, Rizal, anti-narcotics agents collared at 1 a.m. Friday Gemma Casapao, Venjo Manuson, and Yusup Hinoor after allegedly selling a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Ampid 1.

Authorities seized 15 sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with a DDB value of P204,000.

The suspects were detained and will be charged of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
