MANILA, Philippines — The family of a security guard who was killed after being hit by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Dasmariñas, Cavite, has agreed to an amicable settlement, Philippine National Police spokesperson Jean Fajardo said on Friday.
Rodolfo Mejos was killed after being hit by an SUV along Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Dasmariñas Cavite on August 22, Monday. Police have yet to identify the driver of the SUV.
The suspect, however, has been charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, said Fajardo.

(Based on the report of our chief of police, there was a settlement between the family and the suspect, and they submitted a notarized amicable settlement and they settled so that the family would not file a case.)
