1 dead, 2 hurt while crossing Cavite highway
LUCENA CITY––A pedestrian died, and two others were injured Thursday, March 17, after a speeding tractor head hit them along the Aguinaldo Highway in Silang town, Cavite province.
The Calabarzon police reported Friday that Ronald Sigua, who was driving the tractor head around 7 p.m., accidentally bumped Michael Magtalas, Mitch Lian Dayne Ruth Magtalas, and Juliana Malana while they were crossing a section of the highway in Barangay Lalaan 2.
The victims suffered injuries, but Malana died while being taken to the nearest hospital.
Sigua was detained at the local police jail and is facing criminal charges.
