MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and isolated rain showers are expected nationwide on Thursday after Severe Tropical Storm Florita (international name: Ma-on) exited the Philippine area of responsibility, according to the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the southwest monsoon or “habagat” is weakening but will still impact the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.
