DFA suspends operations at storm-affected consular offices

Operations in select consular offices (CO) will remain suspended until Wednesday amid the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

MANILA, Philippines — Operations in select consular offices (CO) will remain suspended until Wednesday amid the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) started the suspension of select consular operations on Tuesday pursuant to the declaration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Applicants who got a schedule at the affected temporary off-site passport services (TOPS) offices will be informed of their new appointment through email.

Meanwhile, authentication applicants with confirmed schedules at DFA-Aseana will be served on August 25.

Other authentication applicants and all passport applicants in affected COs will be attended to within 30 days from August 23 or 24.

Applicants must present their confirmed application packet, which states that their original schedule is August 23 or 24, to be accommodated.

Below are the COs and TOPS sites that will be closed:

  • DFA Aseana – Parañaque City
  • TOPS MOA – SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City
  • TOPS Newport – Newport Mall, Pasay City
  • CO National Capital Region (NCR) Central – Lingkod Pinoy Center, Robinsons Galleria
  • TOPS Aura – SM Aura Premier Bonifacio Global City
  • CO NCR East – SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City
  • TOPS North EDSA – SM North Edsa, Quezon City
  • CO NCR North – Lingkod Pinoy Center Building B, Robinsons Novaliches
  • TOPS Robinsons Novaliches – Lingkod Pinoy Center Building B, Robinsons Novaliches
  • CO NCR Northeast – Ali Mall, Araneta City
  • TOPS Robinsons Magnolia – Robinsons Magnolia, Quezon City
  • CO NCR South – Metro Alabang Town Center, Alabang
  • TOPS Robinsons Las Piñas – Robinson’s Place Las Piñas
  • TOPS San Pedro Laguna – Robinsons Galleria South, San Pedro City
  • CO NCR West – 5th Floor SM City Manila
  • TOPS SM Manila – 4th Floor SM City Manila
  • CO Antipolo – SM Cherry, Antipolo City
  • CO Dasmariñas – SM City Damariñas, Cavite
  • CO Malolos – Malolos Central Transport Terminal and Commercial Hub, Malolos City
  • TOPS Malolos – Robinsons Place Malolos
  • CO San Pablo – SM San Pablo, Laguna
  • TOPS Olongapo – SM City Olongapo Downtown, Zambales
  • CO La Union – CSI Mall, La Union (suspended due to Executive Order 19, series of 2022, issued by La Union local government unit)

On the other hand, the following are the rescheduled release date of authentication documents at Double Dragon Plaza:

Expedited release of documents

  • August 24 (original release date) – August 25 (rescheduled release date)

Regular release of documents

  • August 24 (original release date) – August 25 (rescheduled release date)
  • August 25 (original release date) – August 26 (rescheduled release date)
  • August 26 (original release date) – August 30 (rescheduled release date)
